The tale of the hair

What to do with this hair. The full mohawk is doctored but the first few are not.. Now it really is a mohawk- no hair on the sides. To fix or not to fix?

This is a normal hair day

This is me playing around!

4 months!

Mia is 4 months today. I can't believe how fast they grow. I guess you dont realize until its your own weed that is doing the growing. She has her own little personality that warms my heart every day. This last week has brought on all sorts of changes. The other night while we were eating dinner and she was playing on the floor she just rolled over. It took her about 10 minutes to do it and she went to bed shortly thereafter. It really wore her out! Now days she can do it more readily and can go back to her back as well. I also think she is teething. She appears to have a tooth poking through in the front but Dr. Valerie tells me its not. She sure does drool alot and wants to chew on everything. She is so aggressive about it too, its funny.
The most notable change is that she has found her voice. She is so noisy! When she wakes up in the morning she makes small little noises to see if it still works, then smiles at the fact that it indeed does, then lets it out! She screams, giggles, sings, hums, you name it. The down side of this is that she lets me know when she is awake but playing in her bed. Before now she was probably awake but I didnt know it because she wouldnt make any noise. Now she makes noise, which isnt too entertaining at 3am. Lucky for me she goes back to sleep. She still loves her sleep and I keep moving her bedtime up a bit. We are now up to about 8pm. She will sleep until around 530, eat, then sleep for a few more hours. I feel very fortunate that she loves to sleep. I can also count on a 3 hour nap in the afternoon, which is key to my survival! She goes to the Dr. on wednesday. I weighed her a few weeks ago and she was 14lbs. We will see how much she has grown. We just love her to pieces.

How are Jerry and Jen? Jerry had a rough start to the school semester. The week school started he had a muscle in his back that was spasming (is that a word). We took him to the Dr. and got some muscle relaxers. He was pretty much out of commission for a week. He couldnt hardly move. Just as that was getting better he came down with some unidentified illness. Something that gives you a fever, cough, congestion, etc. etc. A few days on the couch and some TLC from the wifey did the trick. Mia and I dont feel ill so we think we are in the clear. He is looking forward to getting on with the semester and working hard.

I am well! Im not sure how this could be but I find that I am busy every day and dont have enough time to do all that I need too. Someone asked me what it is that I do all day and I couldnt give them an answer. All I know is that I dont have enough time to get things done. I always wondered why my friends/family were posting blog stuff at 11pm, asking myself why they werent sleeping. That is the only time of the day that two hands are free and the house is quiet! Im learning the ropes of the mom thing I guess. Texas temperatures seem to be calming down so we were able to go outside this last week in the mornings. Jerry and I even went on a walk yesterday in the evening, which is a first all summer due to the heat. I cant wait for milder temperatures. I was called yesterday to be the Young Women's secretary. For those that don't know what that is, Young Women's is the organization in the Mormon Church for girls between the ages of 12 and 18. It involves activities and such. I am the secretary of the organization. Hope that makes sense. Im really looking forward to it. I LOVE the president and would do anything for her and the other counselors are fantastic too. I owe the YW program alot for all the years it gave to me.

Thats all for now!

Happy 4 months Mia!

She can fit her whole fist in her mouth. It's quite the site!
I just like this picture of her with her shirt that declares her love for her dad. She smiles so cute when she sees him and likes to play with him. Well, most of the time...
Her first real tear. I didn't feed her quite fast enough for her liking and she freaked! A real tear and all.

More for Mia

Our try in the bumbo. She kind of likes it.. I think it bugs her sometimes because it squishes her stomach together
Jerry thought it looked like a potty chair so he thought he would see if he could potty train a 4 month old...
She is so funny! I was messing around with her hair and made it like Alfalfa's and she was being kind of aggressive so I snapped a photo and this is what you get...
