We have made a tradition out of going to the Capitol on Memorial day while here in Texas. Its indoors (cool temps), free parking, great grounds for a picnic, not too busy, a patriotic sing a long by an acapella choir in the awesome rotunda, and lots of veterans. It makes for a fairly relaxed day with family. We also went to a movie, and packed a bit.
